Satellite beacon: This beacon will have only two buttons, the on/off button and the SOS button. If you press the SOS button, it will alert the organisation, which will try to contact you with an emergency call. If there is no answer, they will go to your location as quickly as possible. This device must be handed in every day at the arrival check point and picked up at the departure check point. If you lose or break it there will be an additional cost of 180€. A web link will be provided which you can send to friends and family so that they can follow you with your bib number wherever you are. You will also be able to see for yourselves where each of the raid participants are with their bib number and name.
Important Explanations
SIM cards: To speed up the border crossing, the organisation has been able to get SIM cards from the country, which will be given to you on the day of the verifications. You will have about 10GB, which for normal use should last you for the whole trip. A SIM card is included with the registration, if you want more you will have a cost of 20€, you can buy it on the day of the verifications.
WARNING: With this method you can only call and you can only be called by WhatsApp
Currency exchange: In Morocco you can pay for almost everything in euros, but you will always be given change in Dirham.
REMEMBER THAT THE MOTORWAYS ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT IN DIRHAM IN CASH.
GPS: You can take a GPS like Garming or an Android Tablet with Orux Map, TwoNav or whatever you are most familiar with. When the day arrives, the organisation will send you the tracks of the trip. The trip will be mainly navigation, i.e. every day you will have to pass a check point at the start and another one at the finish, but you will navigate easily with your track and Road Book. This will allow you to stop to take photos wherever and whenever you want, stop for lunch when you feel like it and set your own pace. It will also help you to avoid creating a big cloud of dust. In the end you will always make groups, which is a good thing, as you will be able to adapt to the groups that you think are best for you.
Mechanical assistance: The intention will always be to arrive at the hotel where there will be a team of mechanics who will work on the vehicles while you and your family rest at the hotel or at the swimming pool or having a cool drink. They will do their best to work during the day and night so that the vehicle can go out on track the next day in case of breakdown. Workshop hours and spare parts will be charged extra. It will be compulsory to check the car and clean filters every day, if you don't want to do it yourself you can contract it with the mechanics service.
Spare parts: The parts used will not be included in the registration fee and can only be paid in cash and at the time of each repair. The organisation will provide for general spare parts as the aim is that everyone will return home with their car. Spare parts for our Porsche Cayenne are very scarce in Morocco.
Medical insurance: We will carry insurance from RACE to cover medical expenses and repatriation of the sick person, the cost of accompanying a sick child and hotel expenses for an accompanying person. The conditions will be sent before the trip.
Media team: The organisation will have a media team, in charge of uploading daily photos to a link every night, depending on the coverage or wifi signal. The videos will be uploaded once the trip is over. The organisation reserves the right of image for the use of all audiovisual content generated before, during and after the event about the participants.

Food
Documentation
Personal material
Passport and driving licence, with at least 6 months validity (Check expiry date of both for the day of boarding).
Driving licence and vehicle technical data sheet.
To be in possession of the vehicle or, if not, to have a signed authorization before a notary of the owner's authorization to go to Morocco (person or company).
Green insurance card, valid for Morocco, without which it is not possible to enter the country. Check its expiry date or validity.
Half board only includes breakfast and dinner (without drinks), so lunch will be picnic style. We recommend splitting it up in the style of pre-cooked Carretilla-style portions. Vacuum-packed cold meats, pica pica style snacks, potato chips etc. The use of a 12v compressor cooler is highly recommended to keep drinks cool and to preserve food that requires it. Drinking a fresh beer or coke in the desert is priceless.
Cans of beer, wine or other... (in Morocco there are no alcohol shops and we do not recommend the consumption of ice or non-bottled water). Be careful not to have alcohol in sight at the border crossing. We do not recommend carrying glass, as it may break on the tracks... If you do carry glass, wrap it well in something padded.
Head torch to carry on your head and a Swiss Army knife.
Trainers or light boots. Flip-flops.
Sunglasses, swimming costume, high protection sun cream and cap.
Light and comfortable clothes, jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirt. It will be very hot during the day and very cold at night, especially the first few days.
Small first aid kit to suit each user. We recommend anti-diarrhoea medicine, painkillers...
If you have any allergy or medical problem it is compulsory to inform the organisation beforehand.
