Important Information

Vehicle Essentials

Discover the 19 essentials for you and your vehicle before you travel with us:

• Well checked and serviced 2m transmitter with up to date stationary.

• Air compressor with pressure gauge (the original car air compressor is not suitable).

• 1 tow strap, two shackles, and heavy-duty recovery points (minimum 1 front and 1 rear), prepared for recovery or to be recovered.

• Tablet or GPS (Android 8 or higher, with GPS).

• Mounts or charging ports to secure the tablet, trip meter, and phone.

• One chair per person, one camping table per car and daily picnic utensils.

• Compressor fridge.

• Generic spare parts: engine oil, antifreeze, puncture repair kit, etc....

• A/T tyres of recognised brand (avoid retreads), minimum 5 complete tyres.

• Jack to lift the vehicle (previously tested, the original may not work).

• Orange strobe light to signal position in case of breakdown (especially useful on dusty days).

• ABS disconnect and manual activation of the electric fan (the latter for V8 engines).

• Oil and filter changes just done; take care of endemic faults (central cardan shaft, headlight sockets, fuel pumps according to mileage, plastic water pipes replaced by aluminium...).

• Overhaul of all ball joints and silentblocks.

• 2 kg fire extinguisher.

• Hammer to break glass and emergency belt per person (accessible while driving).

• Robust and recognised underbody protection (critical point on Cayenne).
